Mono Pods (MRA Pre Conference Class)

Course Overview
This one-day course will build on your skills by applying them to artificial high directionals. Through rigging scenarios, we will better understand the forces within high directional systems using monopods and tripods.
This is a pre-conference class hosted in conjunction with the MRA Spring Conference. To register for the conference, visit the MRA conference website.

What to Bring
- Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions
- Helmet
- UIAA seat harness
- Appropriate footwear (e.g. approach shoes) for accessing training sites
- Rope gloves
- Small backpack
- Eye protection
- Personal descender
- 6 locking carabiners
- Rope ascending system (optional)
- Rope grab (mechanical or prusik)
Target Audience
Paid and non-paid professional rope rescuers, mountain rescuers, search and rescue personnel, climbing guides or anyone who might respond for the rescue of a stranded/injured climber or worker.

Cancelation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing to Kallie.hunt@harken.com. Registrations cancelled prior to 15 days before the start of the course are not subject to a cancellation fee. Registrations canceled 14 to 8 days before the start of the course shall be charged 50% of the course fee. Cancellations 7 or fewer days before the start date of the course will be charged the full course fee. All fees will be processed on the start date of the course.
