The innovative LokHead™ Winch Fire/Rescue Kit meets the certification requirements of the National Fire Protection Association Standard on Life Safety Rope and Equipment for Emergency Services NFPA 1983 (2017 ED) “T”. The winch is a portable or fix-mounted load-lifting, personal-hoisting winch used with an unlimited length of fiber rope. The captive head allows the winch to be used safely, and keeps the rope from accidentally releasing. Perfect for fixed or temporary applications and rescue. Harken offers the LokHead and its accessories fully boxed in a heavy-duty storage case that allows safe transport and rapid deployment. The kit includes the LokHead winch with reversible plate, waterproof carrying case, winch handle, tripod adapter with counter plate, control lever, CMC™ Variable Anchor strap, and two CMC ProSeries® carabiners. The strap and carabiners also meet NFPA standards. Spare parts available from any Harken dealer. The winch’s simple construction requires no lubrication and can be flushed clean with fresh water.
